Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Stawi Jobs (“we”, “us”) collects when you use jobs.stawi.org, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address, display name, and (if you create one) a profile photo, provided by your identity provider via OpenID Connect.
  • Profile data — details you provide during onboarding: target job title, experience level, job-search status, salary range, preferred regions and time zones, country.
  • Usage data — pages visited, jobs viewed, search queries, and saved jobs. Collected server-side from request logs.
  • Payment data — for Premium subscribers only. Processed by our payment partner. We store a reference to your subscription, never card numbers or mobile-money PINs.

How we use your data

  • To match you with relevant job listings and show them on your dashboard.
  • To send you optional weekly digest emails (you can opt out at any time).
  • To improve our matching engine and product.
  • To operate, secure, and debug the service.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share limited data with:

  • Our identity provider (Ory Hydra operated by Stawi) to authenticate you.
  • Our payment partner to process Premium subscriptions.
  • Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider.

We never share your profile or usage data with employers without your explicit action (e.g. clicking “Apply” takes you to the employer’s own application page, outside our control).

Retention

  • Account and profile data: kept while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion, then permanently purged.
  • Usage logs: kept for 90 days, then aggregated and anonymised.
  • Payment records: kept as required by applicable tax law.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • View and edit your profile from your dashboard.
  • Delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard, or by emailing jobs@stawi.org.
  • Request an export of your data.
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).

If you’re in the EU/UK or a jurisdiction with similar laws (POPIA, CCPA), these rights apply and you can exercise them by contacting us.

International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare’s global network. Your data may be processed in any country where Cloudflare operates.
